Guide 2
Add a bill by snapping a photo
- 1Open Bills and tap the bill scanner.
- 2Take a photo of a paper bill, or pick a screenshot or PDF.
- 3Check what Monovo read — provider, amount and due date — and fix anything that looks wrong.
- 4Tap save. The photo isn't kept, and blurry scans that can't be read don't use up your allowance.
Guide 5
Avalanche or snowball: pick a debt plan
- 1Add each debt with its balance, interest rate (APR) and minimum payment.
- 2Open the payoff plan on the Debts page.
- 3Avalanche pays the highest interest rate first — usually the cheapest overall.
- 4Snowball pays the smallest balance first — quicker wins to keep you motivated. Either beats minimums only.
Guide 1
Organise your Home screen
- 1Tap the arrow next to any section title to fold it down to a single line. Tap again to open it.
- 2Tap ⚙️ and choose Rearrange to move sections up or down.
- 3Sections with nothing to show, like For your attention, hide themselves until they're needed. Net position this month stays at the top.
- 4The same works on Bills, Debts and Savings, and your layout is remembered on this device.
Guide 3
Safe to spend until payday
- 1Add your take-home pay and payday in Settings (or during setup).
- 2Add your bills and budgets so Monovo knows what's already spoken for.
- 3Home shows what's left per day until your budget resets.
- 4Choose calendar month or payday cycles in Settings — whichever matches how you get paid.
Guide 11
Sort your bank feed in one tap
- 1Open Bank feed and connect your bank — it's read-only, so Monovo can't move money.
- 2New payments wait in a list until you sort them.
- 3Tap where each belongs: bill, subscription, debt, savings or spending.
- 4Sorted one wrongly? Unsort it and pick again — balances are only counted once.
Guide 6
Start a savings goal
- 1Open Savings and tap New goal.
- 2Name it, set the target and pick how much you'll set aside each month.
- 3A progress ring shows how far you've come and an estimated finish date.
- 4Record real deposits and withdrawals for tracked goals. Check the balance source shown on each goal to avoid counting money twice.
Guide 4
Add a debt and see what's left
- 1Open Debts and tap Add a debt.
- 2Enter the balance, the interest rate (APR) and the minimum payment.
- 3Monovo works out roughly how many payments are left and your debt-free date.
- 4Add the payment date and it appears on your bill calendar too.
Guide 7
Set a budget that fits your month
- 1Open Budgets from the More tab.
- 2Pick a category — like groceries or fuel — and set a monthly amount.
- 3A progress bar shows what you've spent and what's left for the month.
- 4Turn on rollover if you want unspent money carried into next month.
Guide 12
Ask the AI money coach
- 1Open AI coach from the More tab.
- 2Ask about your own figures — debts, bills, budgets or savings.
- 3It only ever sees the numbers you've added, not your identity or account details.
- 4The suggestions are general guidance, not regulated advice — you stay in charge.
Guide 9
Catch contract renewals early
- 1Add an end date to a bill — like a mobile contract — and Renewal radar starts watching it.
- 2When a contract is close to ending, Home flags it before the price jumps.
- 3Open the suggestion and the Switching & deals hub shows what to check.
- 4Nothing is switched for you — you decide, and Monovo never takes a cut.
Guide 8
Round up your spare change
- 1Open Round-ups from Savings and choose how you do it.
- 2Bank already rounds up for you (like Monzo or Starling)? Pick My bank does it for me — those transfers count as savings, not spending.
- 3No bank round-ups? Pick Let Monovo track it — spare change from each spend collects in a jar.
- 4When you've actually moved the money, tap I've moved it. Only then does your goal or debt balance change — so nothing is counted twice.
Guide 10
Make Monovo look your way
- 1Open Settings and tap Appearance.
- 2Choose Light, Dark or Auto to follow your phone.
- 3Pick an accent colour you like.
- 4Fold or rearrange sections on Home, Bills, Debts and Savings — your layout follows your account.
Guide 13
Find deals and switch providers
- 1Open Switching & deals from the More tab.
- 2Pick a category — energy, broadband & TV, or mobile.
- 3Compare on trusted comparison sites, and check exit fees and notice periods first.
- 4You choose and complete any switch yourself. Pro members also see exclusive offers when available.
Take it at your own pace
You don't need everything set up on day one. Add one bill or one debt, come back tomorrow, and build from there. You can replay the welcome tour any time from Settings → Appearance.
